Work that people carry around on their belts

The VA and client communicate by regular email and a one-hour telephone call each week to discuss current and future tasks. This type of communication plan works well with the client that you are working closely with on multiple projects. It provides both parties with a personal connection and allows for easy discussion rather than interpreting details from within an email. This weekly call is invaluable in the relationship with clients and I know they appreciate it also.

Not knowing what to say when a reporter phones. Two examples come to mind. First it’s always tough being a business owner because sometimes crises arise. When they do surface, it’s difficult to know what to say to anyone, let alone a reporter. Second, it can be equally difficult to conduct interviews with the press if you’re either a new business owner or you’ve only had limited exposure to media interviews. In either case, it’s simply unnecessary to lie, because if you know yourself and your business inside out, then you will have plenty to say. When in doubt about a question, ask the reporter to clarify then give the straightest answer possible, and only elaborate if you feel comfortable doing so.

You can get a wireless headset that is completely without wires or one that requires a belt pack. The ones that are completely wire free are made up of a headset worn on your head that talks to a base unit that is attached to your telephone with no wire connections between your headset and your phone. These wireless headset products represent the latest in sophisticated technology for communication or listening. Examples of wireless headset models are the Plantronics CS50, Plantronics CS55, the Plantronics 510S and the GN Netcom 9120.
