This wine thermometer has a stainless steel spring band that adapts itself to the shape of the bottle. The digital system begins operation immediately upon contact with the glass. There are sealed-in liqyid crystals within the film strip that are activated in 2 degree C. increments. The film strip changes color from light brown to green and then to blue. When the temperature shown by the green center figure aligns with the corresponding type of wine on the graphic collar, the wine is at the recommended temperature for maximum enjoyment.
