The patented valving reacts to a jolt caused by a rut or bump in the road by instantaneously opening the valve. When less "sudden" compression happens while cornering or turning, the valve opens slower resulting in a firmer ride with less body roll. Essentially, these shocks know the difference between a pot-hole and a sudden swerve and will deliver the proper reflex.
