PERFORMANCE HEADER KIT For 4- and 6-cylinder cars, trucks, vans and SUVs Get more horsepower, better gas mileage and a smoother running engine! Custom fit for easy installation Gives more power per dollar than any other single modification. A "must" for 4- and 6-cylinder engines, as these engines are equipped with a restrictive exhaust manifold that limits engine operating efficiency and results in sluggish performance. Header lets engine "breathe" better and operate more efficiently. Improves acceleration, ensures better gas mileage and a cooler running engine. You can gain more horsepower over stock equipment with a well-tuned or slightly modified engine. MIG welded of heavy steel with flanges made to exact thickness of stock exhaust manifold. This permits installation for any stock or modified intake manifold, using stock hardware and only one stock gasket, without shims. For straight 6-cylinder and 4-cylinder one header included; for V6 two headers included (except where noted). Depending on application, headers not equipped with smog fittings. Comfort-contoured breathable foam padding (bonded to the inner shell) is lined with plush brushed perforated black microfiber nylon and features sewn-in sizing darts throughout to ensure a super fit and hours of relaxed riding. Revolutionary lining is sweat resistant?you won't feel clammy even on hotter days. Outer shell is triple sanded smooth before the premium paint is applied (for the metallics, only super-fine flakes are used to achieve the depth and brilliance). Tough high-gloss clear polyurethane coating protects the painted finish/graphics against scuffs and scratches and permits easy soap and water cleanups. Prix logo is applied over the clear-coat finish and can be removed if desired. Cushioned black nylon chin straps are double stitched to the steel double "D" ring retention system for strength. Smooth, molded black rubber base and window trim adds the perfect finishing touch. Meets or exceeds DOT standards. Replacement face shield and side pods (set of 2 with hardware) sold separately.
