LOADING RAMP KITS Kits include everything you need except the planks Now it's easier than ever to roll your bike or ATV onto a pickup bed Make your own ramps and save! Build your own custom loading ramps and roll heavy items into pickup bed or van almost effortlessly and with little lifting or back strain. Ramp capacities are approximately 1,400 lbs. a pair or 700 lbs. each based on use with common 2 x 8 (1-1/2" x 7-1/2" actual size) or 2 x 12 (1-1/2" x 11-1/4" actual size) fir plank. Use oak or maple for higher capacities. RAMP TOPS. Solid 3/16" thick plate steel. Predrilled one-piece top mounts to underside of plank with carriage bolts, nuts and washers. Drilling of plank required. Large tongue holds ramp on tailgate or trailer floor. Recessed diamond grid on tongue minimizes slippage when it's wet. Predrilled tongue accepts self-tapping, screw-in steel hold-down pins to help stabilize ramp and prevent movement and separation. Tailgate or trailer floor must be drilled to use pins. Attach adhesive rubber pad to underside of top to prevent marring and to reduce ramp movement. RAMP BOTTOMS. Heavy-duty black rubber bottom wraps around end of plank and secures with pull-out-resistant nails. Ensures no-bump loading/unloading. Ridges on both top and bottom minimize ramp slippage. TRACTION TRACKS. Approximately 6"W x 12"L metal tracks mount to planks with nails. Each track has more than 150 raised 1/8"H circular ridges that provide the traction edges needed to help prevent slippage in wet/muddy conditions. Kits include instructions, hardware and ways to determine proper plank length. Applications: All Makes All Models SKU: 01ZX1107A
