Case, fan and single-groove pulley are chrome-plated to add show-quality sparkle to your engine compartment. Trouble-free and clutter-free installation. Alternator features a built-in self-exciting voltage regulator that eliminates the need for an external voltage regulator and its wiring. Alternator hooks up directly to the battery with a single 10-gauge wire (not included). Hookup bypasses the wiring harness and any associated electrical problems. Alternators are completely remanufactured and include new bearings, brushes, diodes and special voltage regulator. 80-, 100- and 140-amp alternators also include new specially wound stator assembly, which provides enough power to operate all high-power accessories without draining battery. Fits all vehicles with OE 40- to 65-amp GM alternator without modifications. Installation in other vehicles may require fabrication of mounting brackets. For 12 volt negative-ground systems only.
