Alternator hooks up directly to the battery with a single 10-gauge wire (not included). Hookup bypasses the wiring harness and any associated electrical problems. Alternators are completely remanufactured and include new bearings, brushes, diodes and special voltage regulator. 80-, 100- and 140-amp alternators also include new specially wound stator assembly, which provides enough power to operate all high-power accessories without draining battery.
