The Pk of 12 Replacement Low Density Polyethylene Rods work well with your plastic welding kit to repair this material. To identify the material type, do a burn test on a small sample. Both low and high density polyethylene burn with no smoke, blue flame and a candle-wax odor when the flame is extinguished. These rods are 1/8" diameter x about 9".
