Miniature 1000 Piece Puzzle - Kaiwo Maru, Japan
It shall have a fine sight as a sailing ship, and shall be dignified. So said one of the fixed plans of construction for the Kaiwo Maru, a training vessel for the Japanese Merchant Navy. Used solely for educational training of merchant marine cadets, it replaced the former Kaiwo Maru ship that was built in 1930 and retired in 1984 after voyaging the distance of 49 times around the world. Part of Educa’s 1000 piece Puzzle Miniature series, the actual piece sizes measure ½” wide and less than an inch long, making it the “smallest 1000 piece puzzle in the world”!
